General information on personal data protection

Who is responsible for processing personal data?

The party responsible for processing the personal data collected through this form is the Fundació per a la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (hereinafter FUOC), with tax identification number (NIF) G-60667813 and registered address at Rambla del Poblenou 154-156, Barcelona. Data processed for this purpose are stored for as long as necessary to respond to the information request or enquiry.

2. Keeping the user informed, even using electronic means, about the FUOC's products, services and updates.
Data processed for this purpose are stored until the user objects to receiving such communications.

Once these periods have ended, the FUOC will store the personal data in a restricted form for as long as any legal liabilities may arise from them. When these liabilities are no longer applicable, the personal data will be permanently deleted.
 

What is the lawful basis for processing the data?

The lawful basis for processing the data is:
1. The data subject's consent, given upon sending their request for information or enquiry by means of the corresponding form.
2. The data subject's consent, given upon submitting the corresponding form, or the FUOC's legitimate interest in keeping the user informed when there is a prior contractual relationship.

The FUOC processes personal data with absolute confidentiality. It has also implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee their security and prevent their destruction, loss, unlawful access or tampering. The exact measures have been chosen based on factors such as the scope, context and purposes of processing, the state of the art and the risks involved.

To exercise these rights, simply email the FUOC at fuoc_pd@uoc.edu or write to Rambla del Poblenou 154-156, 08018, Barcelona, Spain, stating "Data protection" as the subject. If your request does not meet the specified requirements, you may be asked to amend it. There is no charge for exercising these rights, although a fee may be charged for requests that are unfounded, excessive or repetitive.
